How To: Fold an origami enigma box

Fold an origami enigma box

For all origami enthusiasts, here is something new. This video details how to make your own origami enigma box. As with all origami pieces it can be made using just a single piece of paper. The paper is first folded, taking from two separate parallel ends, in such a way that both sides meet in the middle of the paper. This will make four rectangles when unfolded which are to be further folded into half to make eight. Now, the paper is to be taken from the other two ends and folded to meet in the middle as we did before, the same procedure will ensue giving us an 8x8 square area. When done, the diagonal corners of the paper are taken and folded so that they form a triangle. This has to be done with all four diagonals. After that is done and the paper unfolded, one diagonal corner is taken and folded in a way so that it meets the middle of the paper making a smaller triangle. When done done with all the corners, it forms four small triangles put together to form a large square. Unfold all of it and it will show 4 triangles and a square. Fold this from top, bottom, left, right until there is a square in between and then pinch it from the corners inwards so that the square collapses downwards. This makes one module of the enigma box. As we make more, we keep attaching them to different sides of the first one to make a complete model. Following these steps will ensure that you learn something new.
